Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using admitshark.ca and everything that comes with it. We'll call it "AdmitShark," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our" below. By creating an account, browsing programs, using the Eligibility Checker or Bill, or applying to a program through AdmitShark, you're agreeing to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you don't agree, please don't use AdmitShark.

2. Who we are

AdmitShark is powered by Bronston Canadian Academy (BCA), an Ontario Ministry of Education–inspected school. We help you find, compare, and apply to study programs at partner schools and universities around the world, and where your profile falls short of a program's requirements, BCA's own Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and English-language courses can help you close the gap. The school or university you ultimately apply to abroad is a separate institution and makes its own admission decision.

3. Eligibility to use AdmitShark

You should be at least 16 to use AdmitShark on your own, or have a parent or guardian involved if you're younger. A lot of prospective students are still under 18 when they start researching and applying. If that's you, a parent or guardian should look over your application before you submit it, and they're responsible for making sure the information in it is accurate.

By creating an account, you're confirming that what you tell us about your age, identity, and education is accurate, and that you're old enough to agree to these Terms yourself (or have a guardian's okay to do so).

4. Your account

To use most of AdmitShark (building a shortlist, checking eligibility against your saved profile, uploading documents, or submitting an application) you'll need an account with your name, email address, and a password.

• Keep your name, email, and profile information accurate and up to date.
• Keep your password to yourself, and let us know right away at info@bronston.ca if you think someone else has gotten into your account.
• Accounts are for one person, so don't create one for someone else without their okay. The main exceptions are parents/guardians helping a minor apply, and recruiters registering a student they represent with that student's consent.
• We can suspend or close an account that's given us false information, or that we reasonably think has been compromised.

5. The AdmitShark service

Here's what AdmitShark actually does:

• Program & school discovery: browse and search our catalog of programs and schools.
• Eligibility Checker: tell us about your education and English test scores, and we'll compare them against a program's published entry requirements to give you a sense of whether you're likely to qualify.
• Bill, our assistant: chats with you to help find programs and spot eligibility gaps, described further in Section 6.
• Application assistance: a place to build your profile, upload your documents once, and send applications to the schools you pick, with your status tracked the whole way through.
• BCA course bridging: where your English test score or academic credential falls short of a program's requirements, we can point you to real Bronston Canadian Academy courses that help close the gap.

Program details like tuition, entry requirements, and intake dates come from the schools themselves and public catalogs, and are meant as guidance. Things can change, and the school is always the final word on its own requirements and decisions. We try hard to keep listings accurate, but we can't promise every detail is current at all times.

6. Bill & the Eligibility Checker

The Eligibility Checker and Bill use automated technology to generate their answers, so a few things worth knowing:

• Answers are based on what you tell us and our program catalog at that moment. They're meant to help, not to promise anything. They're not an offer of admission, a guarantee you're eligible, or immigration, visa, or legal advice.
• Like any automated tool, it can occasionally get things wrong or leave things out. Always double-check requirements, deadlines, and fees on the program's official page or with the school before making a decision.
• We keep your conversations with Bill so it can give you better, more personalized answers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• Please don't share anything through the Eligibility Checker or Bill that you wouldn't want handled by an automated system, and use them for exploring your own study options rather than anything else.

7. Applications & fees

AdmitShark does not charge you an application fee. Building your profile, using the Eligibility Checker, and submitting an application through the Platform are free to you.

• Schools and other third parties may charge their own fees — an application fee, a tuition deposit, a visa or biometrics fee, or a credential assessment. Those are set by them, paid directly to them, and governed by their terms, not ours.
• We don't take card payments on the Platform and we don't store your card details. If anyone asks you to pay AdmitShark an application fee, please contact us before paying anything.
• Submitting an application doesn't guarantee you'll get in. It means your completed application gets sent to the school for review; the decision is always theirs.

8. Documents you upload

Applications usually need supporting documents: your passport identity page, transcripts, English test certificates, a statement of purpose, recommendation letters, or a CV. When you upload something, you're confirming that:

• it's genuine, unaltered, and yours (or you're authorized to submit it, for example on behalf of a minor or a student you represent);
• you have the right to share it with AdmitShark and with the schools you apply to; and
• it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or contain anything unlawful.

Submitting a fake, altered, or misleading document is a serious problem. It can get your application withdrawn and your account suspended, on top of whatever the school itself decides to do.

9. Recruiters & partner institutions

AdmitShark works with independent education recruiters and partner schools. If a recruiter signs you up or adds you to the Platform, they'll be able to see your profile and application details relevant to the applications they're helping with. Once you apply, the partner school gets the application details and documents you send them. Recruiter support arranged through AdmitShark doesn't cost you an agency fee. Recruiters and AdmitShark may instead get paid by the school when an application succeeds or a student enrolls, at no extra cost to you.

10. Acceptable use

When using AdmitShark, please don't:

• provide false or misleading information, or someone else's information without their authorization;
• use the Platform for anything unlawful, or to harass, defraud, or mislead another person, school, or recruiter;
• try to gain unauthorized access to any account, our systems, or data that isn't yours;
• scrape or bulk-extract program, school, or pricing data from the Platform without asking us first;
• upload viruses, malware, or any code meant to disrupt the Platform; or
• interfere with the Platform working properly, including the Eligibility Checker or Bill.

We can suspend or close the account of anyone who breaks these rules.

11. Intellectual property

The AdmitShark name, logo, site design, and original content belong to us (or our licensors) and are protected by copyright and trademark law. School names, logos, and program info belong to the respective schools; we use them to help you identify and evaluate programs. You're welcome to use AdmitShark to find and apply to programs for yourself, but please don't copy, republish, or redistribute our content or catalog data without asking us first.

12. Third-party links & school websites

We sometimes link to school websites, application portals, or other outside resources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, uptime, or how they handle your information. It's worth checking their own terms and privacy policy before you use them.

13. Disclaimers

We do our best to keep AdmitShark accurate and running smoothly, but as far as the law allows us to say this plainly:

• using AdmitShark, the Eligibility Checker, or Bill doesn't guarantee you'll be admitted to a program, get a visa, or achieve any particular outcome;
• we can't promise the Platform will always be up and running, error-free, or that every program listing is complete and current; and
• AdmitShark's guidance isn't a substitute for professional immigration, visa, financial, or legal advice. For those matters, talk to a qualified professional or the relevant government authority.

14. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, AdmitShark and our team aren't liable for indirect or knock-on losses connected to your use of the Platform: a missed admission opportunity, application fees paid to a school, or a decision you made based on something the Eligibility Checker or Bill told you. We're not trying to dodge responsibility where the law doesn't let us. For example, we're not limiting our liability for fraud, or for death or injury caused by our own negligence.

15. Indemnification

If something you do breaches these Terms, misuses the Platform, or involves documents or information you gave us that are false or infringe someone else's rights, you agree to cover any claims, losses, or reasonable legal costs AdmitShark faces as a result.

16. Suspension & termination

You can stop using AdmitShark and close your account any time. Just email info@bronston.ca. We can suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse, or the law requires it. We'll try to give you notice when that's practical. A few sections naturally outlive account closure, like Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law. Those keep applying.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms now and then, for new features or changes in the law. For any significant change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where it matters, let you know by email or a notice on the site. If you keep using AdmitShark after an update, that means you're okay with the new Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any dispute would go through the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there instead.
